Rebecca is the Senior Learning Designer within the Office of the Vice Provost for Online Education and Digital Innovation (VP-OEDI) at the University of Virginia.
Full Bio
Since joining UVA in May 2025, Rebecca has supported the design and development of online and hybrid learning experiences in collaboration with faculty and partners across the university. Her work focuses on creating effective, accessible, and engaging learning solutions that align with UVA’s goals for innovation in digital education. She contributes to course design, quality assurance, and digital pedagogy efforts that enhance teaching and learning in a variety of formats.
Previously, Rebecca served as Assistant Director of Learning Systems & Design at Mary Baldwin University, where she supported new program development, collaborated with faculty on course design, and oversaw the institution’s learning management system. She also taught graduate courses in Education, focusing on topics related to educational technology and online instruction.
Earlier in her career, Rebecca spent over a decade as a virtual reference librarian for the Community College of Vermont. In that role, she supported students across the state in developing research and digital literacy skills. This deep experience in online learning environments laid the foundation for her continued interest in digital innovation and learner-centered design.
Outside of work, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, exploring historic sites, cooking, and playing board and tabletop games.
