Sarah Cochran is the Senior Director of Learning Experience and Digital Innovation within the Office of the Vice Provost for Online Education and Digital Innovation (VP-OEDI) at the University of Virginia.
Full Bio
Since joining UVA in the summer of 2024, she has led a team of staff, service providers, and vendors to enhance UVA’s online and hybrid offerings in collaboration with schools and programs. Her focus is on designing innovative learning solutions that align with institutional goals and support the university’s growth in online education.
Previously, Sarah served as the Associate Vice President of Learning Experience and Associate Dean of Student Success at Mary Baldwin University, where she led the development of hybrid programs and implemented strategies to improve retention and student success. At Northeastern University, she directed the Learning Experience Design team, launching high-impact programs in partnership with PwC and contributing to the creation of the Roux Institute. She also held roles at Southern New Hampshire University, where she developed and conducted training programs for instructional designers and helped ensure the quality and development of eLearning products.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys hiking, riding her motorcycle, and traveling the country in her camper with her dog, Rowan.
