A key component of our work at OEDI is to identify emerging tools and technologies that hold the most promise for enhancing the UVA student experience and then thoughtfully adapting and integrating them into compelling offerings. We also bring in partners with complementary expertise and capacity to advance our work on behalf of the University. By collaborating with innovative strategic partners, we are better equipped to support schools and centers across the University in their mission to deliver high-quality online and hybrid programming and enhance the UVA experience for all learners.

Anthropic
Anthropic is a leading generative AI provider. After interest in their Claude large language model (LLM) peaked across Grounds, we partnered with Anthropic to provide UVA faculty, students, and staff with free licenses to test use cases across teaching and learning, research, and administration.
The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce
The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s network of Charlottesville-area businesses, organizations, and nonprofits has been a core component of our AI4VA program. By connecting local businesses with AI4VA, the Chamber served as a key partner in providing UVA students with the opportunity to advance AI-powered solutions throughout our community.
CodeSignal
CodeSignal is an AI-native skills assessment and learning platform that supports a broad range of technical and professional skills through practice-based, experiential learning courses and assessments.
In response to growing interest across Grounds, we partnered with CodeSignal to launch our first-ever AI Skills Academy, an opportunity that provided 50 UVA students and 75 faculty and staff with access to no-cost AI learning pathways delivered in a flexible, self-paced format.
Global Health Education Group (GHEG)
Based in London,Global Health Education Group offers a clinical education platform called Virtual Clinical Experiences (VCE) that helps universities and healthcare partners expand access to real-patient learning safely, securely, and at scale.
Through its partnership with GHEG, OEDI is supporting the first US pilot of VCE, connecting students to live clinical encounters as part of a blended learning approach to expand clinical education capacity and enhance the learner experience across health professions education.
Google Career Certificates are self-paced online programs that offer industry-recognized credentials in-demand fields like AI, business intelligence, project management, and more.
Provided free to students and faculty as part of UVA’s participation in Google’s AI for Education Accelerator , these programs comprise a core part of our Career Academies programming, with students working on certificates prior to applying their knowledge in employer projects.
Rhodes Advisors
As embedded strategic and thought partners, Rhodes Advisors amplifies OEDI’s commitment to operational excellence by providing expertise and capacity for growing online and hybrid programs. From market research to performance analytics, Rhodes Advisors works with the OEDI team to support the University’s schools and centers in building enrollment in online and hybrid programs.
Riipen
Riipen is a leading work-integrated learning platform that connects educators, employers, and students on real-world projects. With over 50,000 employers on their platform, Riipen enables UVA faculty to embed these important career-connected learning experiences into courses and supports OEDI’s co-curricular programming, including Career Academies and AI4VA. On the student side, Riipen provides UVA students with flexible access to authentic experiential learning in ways that fit into their busy schedules.
Stage18
Stage18 is a consulting firm that works with universities and enterprises to identify strategies that drive growth in line with mission. In 2025, Stage18 partnered with OEDI and the Miller Center to explore ways to leverage its vast archives of presidential oral histories, presidential recordings, and publications on the American presidency, as well as its faculty and fellows network. As part of this work, Stage18 informed force-multiplying programming and AI-powered digital applications and created a rubric that other university centers and institutes can benefit from.
1Mentor
1Mentor’s Learner Platform provides real-time labor market data on in-demand skills and generates personalized recommendations for career-relevant learning resources. From 2024-25, OEDI piloted the 1Mentor platform with students, advisors, and young alumni to help them navigate an ever-changing labor market.
